Photoshop Politics by Dylan Jeavons

Do you have a favourite UK blawg? One that you read regularly, or just surf by once every now and then? Is it a must-go-to reference point or simply a source of amusement?  Or perhaps both? After Charon QC’s magisterial survey of the law blog scene  last May, it would be pointless for UKBR#11 to attempt the same task. Instead, it will focus on five blawgs and review them in detail.

To do this I’ll need your help.

So, which five UK law blogs would you want to see featured? The only criteria is that  they should be focused on the UK legal system; it doesn’t matter if they’re written by a practitioner, academic, student or “legal consultant”, so long as its legal.

Just as importantly, why do you like them?  What is it about then blawgs you nominate that makes them stand out? Why should we read them?

Please let me have your five favourite blogs by leaving a comment to this post. Jobsworth will host UKBR#11 on September 24th.

There won’t be prizes or a medal ceremony for the winners, let alone a lavish ceremony with parachuting Queens and superannuated rock stars.

Nominations should be in here by September 16th please.

    Two suggestions:
    1. Work/Life/Law – http://worklifelaw.co.uk/
    2. A Range of Reasonable Responses – http://darrennewman.wordpress.com/

Both insightful, opinionated, instructive and always fun to read

My no. 1 is http://www.familylore.co.uk an excellent daily read from John Bolch and of course http://www.pinktape.co.uk which gives a barristers view from the family bar.

Probably too late for your top 5 thingy, but here’s my suggestion anyway.
The Uk Human Rights Blog is the one i favor most, mainly because of it’s commitment to unbiased comment and making the law more accessible.

I agree with Mark above, http://www.familylore.co.uk/ is great. Very informative and well written.

I also like this one I recently found: http://lawactually.blogspot.co.uk/ it’s different, quite amusing.
