This is the blog carnival of the UK Lawyers Network blawg of blogs, simply known as UK Blaw RoundUp, or UKBR for short. This site is the home of the carnival, although the various solicitors will also host the quarterly review posts on their own blogs.
A Blawg is a blog about law and the intention of this blawg is to focus on the UK legal blogging scene. The well respected Blawg Review is largely American, and with the increase in blogging generally, it will naturally tend to concentrate more on the American Blogs.
The UK Lawyers Network is an online forum, created by Tessa Shepperson. It can be found at www.uklawyersnetwork.co.uk and membership is open to UK lawyers who are actively involved in social media.
The carnivals are published quarterly and future editions will be published in the spring, summer, autumn and at Christmas.
Any UK legal bloggers please submit your best posts via the box in the side bar or please click here.
The UK Lawyers involved, in no particular order are;
Jon Bloor

Jon writes the Peninsulawyer blog on legal practice, social media and corporate law and is head of corporate at Lees Solicitors LLP on the Wirral. He wrote the Easter 2010 edition of this carnival.
Jon is a social media enthusiast (not expert!) with a particular interest in social media marketing for law firms and the legal compliance aspects of social media and internet marketing. He can also be found on Twitter as http://twitter.com/beej777
Michael Scutt

Michael writes two blogs – Jobsworth on employment law and “There May be Trouble Ahead” on legal deregulation. He is a partner in Dale Langley & Co, a specialist employment law practice in the City of London.
Like Jon he is an enthusiast of social media and sees it as an important mechanism for communicating with colleagues and clients. He can be found on Twitter at http://twitter.com/michaelscutt
Tessa Shepperson
Tessa Shepperson first discovered the internet when she set up in Sole Practice in 1994, and it has fascinated her ever since. Her first web-site was launched a few years later, and in November 2001 she set up her innovative Landlord Law service www.landlordlaw.co.uk – a membership site for residential landlords and tenants, still going strong today.
In February 2006, inspired by John Bolch’s Family Lore blog, Tessa started the Landlord Law Blog on Blogger, and in November 2009 this was moved to a self hosted WordPress blog with its own domain name, www.landlordlawblog.co.uk . Tessa has also set up several other blogs, in particular the Solicitors Online blog www.solicitorsonlineblog.co.uk where she writes about lawyers, the internet and blogging, and the Lodger Landlord Blog at www.lodgerlandlord.co.uk.
Tessa remains as fascinated today with the internet as she was in 1994, although she now knows considerably more about it. She is delighted to be a part of the UK Lawyers Blog Carnival.
